Erik
Erik is not just a cat—he’s the cat. The big whiskered boss of the backyard, the feline with the plan…

Welcome to the wonderfully untidy world of the Oh Erik characters. I’m Erik: rescue cat, chief whisker officer and, according to me, the only sensible one here. Around me is a growing cast of cats, garden visitors, farmyard neighbours, river residents and other funny animal characters, each bringing their own habits, talents and highly questionable decisions.
You can begin with Erik and Ernie, then meet everyone from paint-loving Zip-Artiste and chess champion Checkers to musical Orla, mysterious Six and Hix, our resident professional sleeper. Some are calm. Some are bossy. Several should not be left unsupervised. I’m naming no names, although Ernie knows what he did.
Open a card to learn more about each character’s personality, friendships and adventures. Where a story appearance has been confirmed, the full profile will also lead you to the relevant Oh Erik book. Whether you are meeting these children’s book animal characters for the first time or looking for an old favourite, the whole crowd is waiting below.

Every member of the cast has a particular talent, habit or capacity for causing trouble. Choose a face below to open the full character profile.
