Oh Erik began with a real cat who needed a new home. Erik was rehomed in 2020, and rescue has remained part of the family story ever since. Behind the books, illustrations and cat gifts is a simple belief: cats deserve safe homes, patient humans and a proper chance to settle in.

A Family Shaped by Rehoming
Erik found his new home in the spring of 2020. His younger brother Ernie was adopted from New Start Cat Rescue, while Eddy came from the RSPCA Ashford Garden Cattery. Their different journeys helped make rescue more than a passing theme for Oh Erik. It is part of the family’s everyday life.
Hands On Help at the Cattery
Sarah-Leigh volunteers at the RSPCA Ashford Garden Cattery, helping to clean the cat pods and provide fresh toys and bedding. There are cuddles too, although Erik usually detects that part the moment she gets home.
Oh Erik also currently sponsors a pod at the cattery and supports local events when possible.
