A Buzzing Garden Adventure About Welcoming New Friends

Short Listing Hook

Honeybees have moved into the chimney, and Ernie is convinced they are invaders. Erik thinks their new neighbours deserve a warmer welcome.

Full Product Description

There is a loud buzzing coming from the chimney at Eriki House. Ernie has heard quite enough. Someone is taking over their home!

Erik is considerably less alarmed. The newcomers are honeybees, led by the outspoken Teri, and they are busy making a home of their own. While Ernie worries about stings and Twitwit wonders whether bees eat pie, Erik explains why these tiny visitors matter to the garden.

Then Gus the fox arrives with his own ideas about who should occupy the chimney. Suddenly, Ernie has more to think about than keeping his distance from the buzzing.

Erik and Ernie: The Buzzy Bees is a rhyming garden story filled with lively exchanges, small acts of courage and an unexpected change of heart. It gives families a cheerful starting point for talking about bees, caring for wildlife and getting to know someone before deciding they are trouble.

For children who enjoy animal characters with plenty to say, Teri and her busy crew make memorable new neighbours.
